Sing & Dance All That You Want!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have DEFINITELY done my happy dance since I am now officially on Summer Vacation!! For those of you who still have some time left in your school year, I hope you will get to do your own happy dance soon.

I love Music! I have always loved music! It is a part of my daily life, as I love to sing along to the radio and sing and be silly with my own children. I was in choir for years and I enjoy going to concerts! Luckily, I enjoy MANY different genres of music.

Last week, on the last day that I had students, I played a couple of silly songs for them to help celebrate the end of the year and relax. I am including links to a few of them below, plus a few links to some great Free resources that you may be able to use in your own classroom or with your own children.

Ed Tech Tuesday

I don't know why I haven't done this earlier, but today I decided to see what other Ed Tech sites and blogs were out there. I enjoy learning from others, especially from other educators. Teachers seem to learn best from each other.

I hope these sites are insightful and helpful to all! Feel free to share any others that you have enjoyed as well. Happy Tuesday!

Soarin' Through the Solar System

Our second graders are in the middle of their unit on the Solar System. I always loved that unit when I taught 5th Grade! It's just so fascinating! It's also one that students seem to usually enjoy as well.
Below are some great links to help students learn all about our planets and much more!

Summer Smarties

As we all know, while Summer is definitely a welcome break for both teachers and students, it can also be an unwelcome one in a few ways.
Some students, sadly, dread being at home all summer long for various reasons. Also, much knowledge is often lost due to all of the "downtime" from learning.
As a mother of two very young children (ages 1 & 4), I plan to enjoy my time off this summer with my kids. I also plan to keep them learning and active in as many ways that I can, yet still have fun.
Below are some links to games, activities, resources, and ideas that you could send home with your students to help keep them engaged in learning over the Summer months.
