QR Code Fun!

I have never personally used QR Codes in a classroom setting but I do find that concept very interesting! I think that with as popular as QR Codes are in today's world, incorporating them into an educational setting just makes sense. 

Now, in order for any QR activity to work, you would need enough QR readers available for student use. This could prove to be a challenge since sometimes that technology is not available. Also, most likely younger students wouldn't necessarily have SmartPhones on them as frequently as older students would. 

Still, there are so many fun ways to utilize this technology. To find QR reader apps for SmartPhones, you can try one of the following sites:

To create your own QR codes, try one of the following sites below:

• GO QR
• QR Code Generator

Winter Wonderment

I sincerely apologize for the lack of recent posts. It's been a very busy beginning of 2013, both personally and professionally. I hope to get back on track with blogging very soon! 

First, I would like to say thanks to everyone who helped me to celebrate my blog's 1st birthday! You are all amazing! I would also love to thank each and every one of you who reads this blog. We have now hit over 20,000 views! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 

Since we are pretty much in the heart of winter now, I thought it would be fun to post many online winter games and other winter related activities. With the focus in today's society being placed heavily on Math and Reading, sometimes it's hard to fit in all that is needed for Science & Social Studies. I personally am a fan of both subjects. When I taught in a 5th grade classroom the Solar System and Weather units were my favorite in science. I enjoyed pretty much all of the Social Studies because it was American History, which I love!
